It occured to me... Escape 3... Playstation 3... They've followed pretty similar evolutions...
Playstation: Highly controversial after Sony split from Nintendo and made the Playstation rather than the SNES2 or whatever it may have been called, took the games industry by storm... Escape: Highly controversial because it was so similar to k_thegame (supposedly), took the Sven community by storm and became amazingly popular, though... PSOne: Smaller, lighter package, addresses some issues of the Playstation (big, ugly, parallel port that was never used), slimmed down and improved (lower power consumption etc.) Escape1-series (newest version): Slimmed down (much less music), smaller, lighter package, major issues and bugs all addressed... Playstation 2: Highly anticipated after the success of the Playstation, much better in most ways (faster, unique (all Sony design) etc.) and well accepted into the community that the Playstation had built, yet still had all the important bits from the original... Escape 2: Highly anticipated after the success of Escape, longer, better, different (all Incy247 design), well accepted into the Sven community that Escape had built and still had all the important elements... Playstation 2 slimline: Fixes most of the original issues with the Playstation 2, comes in a smaller package and is equally loved by the community... Escape2-series (newest version): Slimmed down (music), all major bugs squashed, better etc. Playstation 3: Initially highly anticipated, delayed, several issues with development, mocked by the games industry... Escape 3: Delayed, several issues with development (real life distractions  ) mocked by the Sven community? Well, no, highly anticipated, yes.In summary: Don't release the Playstation 3! ... Or something like that...  Your thoughts? |

It is sort of cool how they've both had such similar progressions though... Coincidence?
All we need now is for Incy to make it 22.8GB to download (sort of like the PS3 being overly priced) and have cats on the scientists' heads instead of headcrabs for the, er... Controller redesign? |
