escape level select map hotfix

this is just a quick ripent to repair the broken doors in the level select map server admins should apply this patch (note clients dont have to apply this patch only people running servers)

Svencoop 4 and Escape 3 Released!

Well, it's been a while, but after years of waiting, finally the time has come to tell you that Sven Co-op 4.0 was a hoax all along, and everything was photoshopped.


More seriously: I know you've been waiting a ridiculously long time, and I apologise. It's not that we haven't been doing anything, though. Download links are below the list of changes made just since this September. Note that commits (each line) can contain anything from a tiny tweak to multiple new features, so they're not any specific guide, but you get the general idea. The team has been working really hard lately, and I'm genuinely proud of them -- it really feels like they've achieved the impossible at this point .



Anyway, Sven Co-op 4.0(Beta) is here! Tell your friends and neighbours' pets! Tell your favourite news sites! The more players we have, the more fun it is for everyone . Thanks to all the players, mappers, server ops, etc. etc. who keep Sven Co-op alive! I'd thank you all properly, but I expect most people are already seeing too much text and skipping over it, so:

Things to do while waiting for the download to finish:

• Check out the SC4.0B Manual!
• Join the Sven Co-op Steam community group and find people to play with!
• Check out Doc's heavily remixed versions of Gluem's SC3.0 menu theme!
• If you're a server op running a stand-alone dedicated server, remember that you need to add "-num_edicts 4096" to your HLDS command-line arguments. Also see below.

Notes:

• As mentioned, it is a beta and there are some bugs/unfinished features. Report any you find on the Bug Reports forum, which will be reopened shortly (if it's not already). Check the list of known bugs in there, first, though.
• The installer is designed to be able to update SC3.0, but if you have problems, maybe try a clean install.
• Unfortunately there's no way to filter SC4.0B servers from SC3.0 servers in Steam's server browser at the moment. Please put "SC4" at the start of your server name so people know it's running 4.0!

The Escape Series Remastered

The Escape Series Remastered is all set to be released with Svencoop 4.0 very soon, this update fixes many bugs and adds some new content to escape 1 and 2.

Escape 3 is all lined up for release as well, its been a long 3 years since i started working on it. Im also thinking of working on a special map (based on part c of escape 3 / AOM / Silent Hill)

The only problem i have right now as i was rushed to finish part E of escape 3 and im not 100% happy with it, your likely to see a remade part E in a future update to Svencoop.

At the moment Escape 3 will be the last map in the escape series and i have no intention of carrying on with any further full length installments but small special maps are in the pipeline based on aspects i really like in escape 1 2 and 3.

Its been a fantastic ride, i hope to see you all playing Escape 1 2 and 3 in 4.0 very soon

Escape 3 is now completed (thank god) it will be released with Svencoop 4.0 in the coming months - stay tuned!

Wuts this a News update!?

Well its been along time since the last news update, as some of you might know i started University in september and ive been busy non stop ever since. I've recently settled down and started mapping some good ol Escape 3 again so expect some new picture updates soon. Part C is now nearing completion and it's deffinately the most unique of all the maps in the series thus far, the Silent Hill sytle map will have you cowering under your desk

Part D is back to the good ol escape formula, part c works as a great half way point and really brings some new variety setting you up for the downhill race to the end of Escape 3.

There is a part E planned as the final map and a final boss with a svencoop 4 twist :3
